Attire: Black Tie Optional
Full-length gowns for the ladies are encouraged; tuxedos or dark suits with ties for the gentlemen. Most importantly, bring your dancing shoes and get ready to celebrate all night! -
Mexico City is known for its traffic, and getting around can sometimes take up to an hour. Since our wedding is on a Thursday, travel times may be a bit longer. Doors open at 5:00 PM with champagne ready to greet you, and the ceremony begins promptly at 5:30 PM.
We kindly recommend arriving at least 20 minutes early. If you’re using Uber, checking traffic times beforehand will help ensure a timely arrival!
-
Due to the limited space at our venue, we kindly ask that you RSVP for yourself only unless you have been specifically invited to bring a plus one. Thank you for your understanding, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
-
Airport: Mexico City International Airport (MEX)
We recommend booking your flights and accommodations as early as possible/ as soon as you know you are coming. Rates for flights and hotels will go up as we get closer to the event.
-
We are so excited to celebrate with all of you! To ensure a night of fun and relaxation for everyone, we kindly request that our wedding be an adults-only celebration. We hope you can join us!

Mexico City is the largest city in all of North America. Fifth largest in the world. New York City holds the 41st slot, for size context. Like any large city, certain parts of the city are known to be dangerous, but Mexico City itself is safe. There are neighborhoods that should be avoided, but if you stick to recommended areas and use common sense, you should be okay!
Here are a few do's and don’ts we recommend when exploring the city, especially Downtown aka El Centro:
DO:
- Take Uber late at night instead of walking (as you would anywhere).
- Look both ways when crossing streets, and don't assume anyone will slow down for you — cars, bikes, and scooters own the road!
- Dial 911 for police / 066 for ambulance.
- Wear a purse that you can easily monitor (e.g., one that would be secure under your armpit, one across your chest)
DON'T:
- Expose your valuables/status: phones hanging out of back pockets, flashing cash, and large cameras might lure a pickpocket.
- Bring your most expensive accessories.

Mexico City in October is beautiful and temperate. You can expect weather in the high 60's - 70's during the day and in the low 60's - high 50's at night. October is also prone to light showers so pack accordingly. Pack for early fall weather as well as great walking shoes for exploring.

The U.S. dollar cannot be used in México, so bring Mexican pesos with you or get some from the nearest ATM when you arrive. Most places also take credit cards, but it’s best to have some cash for tips, public restrooms, street tacos, etc. You’ll see the $ sign on all prices, but this refers to the Mexican peso, not the U.S. dollar. The conversion is typically about $20 pesos to $1 dollar.
Tipping – Restaurants & Bars: For good service, a 10% tip is standard. For really good service, anything between 15% and 20% is acceptable. Taxis: If the driver helps with bags, 10–20 pesos is a good tip

Uber is highly recommended in Mexico City for convenience and safety. It’s typically ~$5- $10 to get most places in the city with Uber. Be prepared for heavy traffic when considering travel times (as a general rule of thumb, add about 10-15 minutes to the ETA on your Uber app).

No! Don't drink the tap water. You are okay to use water in small quantities, like brushing your teeth or ice in your glass. We recommend coming prepared with Imodium and/or Pepto-Bismol just in case. You can also find medicine at a local farmacia if needed!
-
Almost all the main carriers, Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile, offer free roaming in Mexico.
We recommend you check with your carrier before traveling.
-
Please double-check that your passport is valid for six months from the day you leave Mexico. While Mexico only requires that a passport is not expired, most airlines require a six-month window. If you do not have a passport or need to have it renewed, we recommend doing so AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to avoid costly rush fees and unnecessary stress.
